Vehicle Registration Tax (VRT)

Vehicle Registration Tax is a chargeable tax on registration that must be paid on the ROI. If your vehicle is imported, VRT must be paid, once paid you will receive a receipt in the form of a registration certificate. Greg Mitchell Motors will provide an accurate estimate of the VRT due and our experienced team will guide you through registering your new vehicle.

VRT is paid following registration with the Revenue Commission in ROI. NCTS confirms registration in ROI when the tax fee is paid.

The preferred method of payment is via Sterling bank transfer. However, we also accept all major cards and cash. All funds must be cleared before any vehicle handover. We also offer secure online payments option to either reserve or buy in full any used vehicle.

Yes- there are no changes to vehicle warranty all approved vehicles come with 6 months warranty

Yes- We offer delivery service all over Ireland per request. Please contact us for your personal quote. 

Yes- we welcome all Irish registered vehicles. Please note that final vales are subject to a vehicle appraisal from our sales team.

Buying from Northern Ireland following Brexit on January 1st 2021, cars which were not registered in Northern Ireland prior to this date are now subject to an additional 20% VAT when exported.
